60th season excitement in Spor Toto 1st League

The organization, which started to be played as the 2nd League for the first time and was renamed the Second League A Category from 2001-2002, and the TFF 1st League after 2007-2008, with the status change made by the Turkish Football Federation, will be played for the 60th time with the participation of 19 teams.

In the first match of the new season in the league, on Friday, August 12, Altay, who was relegated from the Super League, will meet with Yılport Samsunspor in İzmir.

In the organization where the first 2 teams will be promoted directly to the Super League, the 5 teams following these two teams will compete for the play-offs in order to be the 3rd team that will go to the upper lane.

With the play-off system changed this season, the team that will finish the league in 3rd place will directly advance to the play-off finals. The 4 teams following this team will face each other to become the finalists.

If they will be in the last 4 places of the league, TFF will be relegated to the 2nd League.


Spor Toto 1st League will be played this season with the participation of 19 teams.

Pendikspor, Sakaryaspor and Bodrumspor rising from the TFF 2nd League, Altay, Çaykur Rizespor, Göztepe and Yeni Malatyaspor relegated from the Super League, as well as Adanaspor, Altaş Denizlispor, Altınordu, Ankara Keçiörengücü, Beyçimento Bandırmaspor, Boluspor, Metropolitan Belediye Erzurumspor , Eyüpspor, Gençlerbirliği, Manisa FK, Tuzlaspor and Yılport Samsunspor will fight for the Super League.
