Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Moussa Diaby deal gets Kroenke GREEN LIGHT, Tielemans boost as Aouar deal is lined up

Good morning Arsenal fans

Arsenal are keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby ahead of transfer deadline day.

According to Football Insider, the Gunners’ owner Stan Kroenke has given the green light for the club to pursue Diaby.

The winger was linked with a move to Newcastle during the summer transfer window earlier this year.

The 23-year-old is valued at around £60million after an impressive season with Leverkusen.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have received a significant transfer boost in their bid to sign Leicester star Youri Tielemans.

That’s because the Foxes are already lining up a potential replacement for Tielemans.

Leicester have identified Lyon star Houssem Aouar as the man to fill the Belgium international’s shoes at the King Power Stadium, Foot Mercato report.

If their swoop for Aouar is successful, the Arsenal target could be given the green light to move to the Emirates.

And Gunners manager Mikel Arteta admits he still wants more signings after his team’s 2-0 win at Crystal Palace.

Arteta praised “superb” debutant William Saliba, while summer signings Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko also impressed in the Premier League curtain-raiser on Friday night.

And the Arsenal boss confirmed he wants to add to his haul of five newcomers before the transfer window shuts on September 1.

Asked if there would be more arrivals, Arteta told Sky Sports: “We are going to try. If we can do them, great. But now it’s work with the players we have, the focus should be with the players we have.

“You need the right balance because if you come short in terms of physicality in this game, you’re going to be exposed.

“The most important thing is to win the first match, to build confidence and momentum. Then you can talk about things we need to improve – there were quite a few today, to be honest.”

Finally, PSV Eindhoven won’t make a decision about Arsenal target Cody Gakpo’s future until their Champions League fate is decided.

The Gunners and Manchester United have been keeping tabs on Gakpo throughout the summer transfer window.

According to the Sunday Mirror, PSV will only listen to bids for the winger after the Champions League qualifiers as they are still in the competition’s third round.

Then the North Londoners will see if they can sign the Netherlands international this summer.
