Belgian rally driver Thierry Neuville won his second World Rally Championship win of the season at the Catalonia Rally held in Salou, Catalonia, Spain.
Neuville, who gained an advantage over his opponents in the last four special stages, dominated Toyota’s Elfyn Evans by 24.1 seconds. Neuville’s Hyundai teammate Dani Sordo was 35.3 seconds behind.
Sordo, who won the last 4 stages, took his place on the podium, while Sebastien Ogier, who competed to win the 8th championship in the last 9 years, remained in the 4th place in the race.
Before the final round of the season, which is planned to be held in Italy next weekend, Ogier is 17 points ahead of Evans, the only driver who has a chance to catch him with 204 points.
The winner of the day, Neuville, is third in the pre-Italian standings with 159 points.
