British Emma Raducanu, who defeated her Canadian rival Leylah Annie Fernandez in the women’s singles final of the US Open Tennis Tournament, became the champion.

Raducanu won the first set 6-4 and the second 6-3 against his 19-year-old Canadian rival Fernandez.
Raducanu, ranked 150th in the world rankings, became the second British female tennis player to hold this title after Virginia Wade, who won the US Open Tennis Tournament in 1977.
