President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will meet in Ukraine during the day.
The trilateral meeting will focus on grain exports from Ukraine and concerns about the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant.
Erdogan, Zelenskiy and Guterres will hold a joint press conference after the meeting to be held in Lviv.
Erdogan will have face-to-face meeting with Zelensky for the first time since the war began with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
According to the statement made by the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, Erdogan will evaluate all aspects of strategic partnership-level Turkey-Ukraine relations together with Zelenskiy.
During the said meeting, the steps that can be taken to end the Ukraine-Russia War through diplomatic means will be discussed by increasing the activities of the mechanism established for the export of Ukrainian grain to the world markets.
Guterres will visit the Black Sea port of Odessa on Friday after the meeting in Lviv. Guterres will conduct investigations in Odessa, where grains are exported under the UN-mediated grain export agreement.
On Saturday, Guterres will go to the Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul, which consists of Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish officials and UN officials.
Black Sea ports, which were closed due to the war in Ukraine, were opened last month for grain exports under the mediation of the UN and Turkey.
