Established-closed company statistics announced

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey announced the statistics of established and closed companies for the month of July.

Accordingly, the number of companies established in July decreased by 37.7 percent compared to June, from 13 thousand 396 to 8 thousand 346. In the same period, the number of companies closed down decreased by 39.9 percent to 1586. In June, 2,640 companies were closed.

The number of companies established in July increased by 23.9 percent and the number of closing companies increased by 53.7 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

Compared to the previous month, the number of companies established in July decreased by 37.7 percent, the number of real person commercial enterprises decreased by 35.3 percent and the number of cooperatives decreased by 27.1 percent.

In the same period, the number of closed companies decreased by 39.9 percent, the number of cooperatives decreased by 33.9 percent, and the number of real person commercial enterprises decreased by 27.3 percent.

In July, compared to the same month of the previous year, the number of companies established increased by 23.9 percent, the number of cooperatives increased by 8 percent, and the number of real person commercial enterprises increased by 2.9 percent.

In this period, the number of closed companies increased by 53.7 percent, the number of real person commercial enterprises increased by 4.8 percent, while the number of cooperatives decreased by 30.3 percent.

No company was established in 3 provinces

Of the companies and cooperatives established in that month, 85.6 percent were limited liability companies, 12.9 percent were joint stock companies, and 1.4 percent were cooperatives. 41.4% of companies and cooperatives were established in Istanbul, 8.9% in Ankara and 5.2% in Antalya. In July, companies were established in all provinces except Gümüşhane, Bayburt and Ardahan.

Of the companies and cooperatives established last month, 2,935 were involved in trade, 1168 in manufacturing and 967 in construction. 585 of the established real person commercial enterprises started to operate in the wholesale and retail trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles, 362 in the construction sector, and 179 in the manufacturing sector.

It was determined that 531 of the companies and cooperatives that were closed in July were active in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, 217 in manufacturing and 215 in construction.

It has been registered that 591 of the closed real person commercial enterprises operate in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, 218 in construction and 144 in manufacturing sector.

While 121 cooperatives were established in July, 79 of them started as housing construction, 17 as business cooperatives and 13 as agricultural development cooperatives.

Companies with foreign joint capital

Of the 1425 foreign joint venture companies established last month, 101 were Russian and 97 Iranian partners.

Of the foreign joint venture companies that started their business, 145 are joint stock companies and 1280 are limited liability companies.

1664 of the companies established this year will work in wholesale trade in non-specialized stores, 632 in real estate agencies, 541 in business and other administrative consultancy activities.

81.2 percent of the total capital of the companies with foreign joint capital established by the foreign capital was the share of foreign capital.
