According to initial reports, 14 people died and 40 were injured due to a fire in a nightclub in Thailand.
A fire broke out at around 00:45 local time in a bar in the Sattahip district of Chonburi city, 160 kilometers from the capital Bangkok.
Social media featured images of the moments when smoke rose from the entrance of the bar and people whose clothes caught fire were trying to escape from the bar.
Eyewitnesses reported that after the explosions, smoke and flames rose from the ceiling near the bar’s stage.
In 2009, a fire at a nightclub in Bangkok left 66 people dead and more than 200 injured.
