Iran reportedly seized a ship carrying “smuggled fuel” in the Persian Gulf.
According to the news of Iranian state television, the Head of the Judiciary of Hormuzgan province, Mücteba Kahramani, said that an operation was carried out on a ship that was found to be loaded with smuggled fuel off the island of Kashm in the Persian Gulf.
Stating that as a result of the operation organized by the border guards, 277 thousand liters of smuggled fuel was seized on the ship, Kahramani stated that 12 people on the ship were also detained.
Kahramani did not provide information about the ship’s ownership and the nationality of the crew.
