Because the homeland of Turkey was determined to protect our sovereignty and rights in this region. Here, such an epic was written. In the presence of our martyrs on the 58th anniversary, we are calling out to our entire nation; the Turkish presence in Cyprus will continue forever.”

Stating that peace came to the island with the Cyprus Peace Operation on July 20, 1974, 10 years after the Erenköy struggle, Tatar said that what is missing is only an agreement, and that this agreement can only be achieved with the cooperation of two equal sovereign states living side by side and with Turkey’s guarantee. stressed.

Tatar said, “Otherwise, we will continue on our way, because we have a state, we have a Republic. We continue on our way with freedom and confidence. We owe all this to our martyrs, we owe the price paid. I commemorate all our martyrs with mercy, I express my gratitude to our veterans. I wish patience to the families of our young people.” used the phrases.
