Xavi Hernandez has been appointed as the manager of the Catalan Club Barcelona, which was vacated by Ronald Koeman.
Xavi Hernandez, who transferred to Qatar’s Al Sadd team in 2015 after 17 years in Barcelona, played football for 4 years and worked as a coach for 2 years.
Negotiations between Qatar club Al Sadd and Barcelona for the transfer of Xavi resulted in positive results. Al Sadd announced that the penalty amount in the contract was paid by Barcelona and Xavi was released.
The return of Xavi, who played for the Catalan club 767 times and won 8 league and 4 Champions League championships, was announced on social media.
Sharing the footage of Xavi leaving the club in 2015, Barcelona announced the transfer with the message “It’s time to go home. Welcome Xavi” along with the phrases “It wasn’t goodbye, see you later”.
It was noted that the former midfielder signed a 2.5-year deal with Barcelona.
